In Samurai Warriors 2 Xtreme Legends he is Musashi Miyamoto’s rival and a man who wants to Master the way of the sword. In his first stage he rescues the peasants which are being attacked by pirates, saying that they deserve a beautiful death. There he meets with Musashi Miyamoto who helps him rescues the peasants. After the stage is complete Kojiro attacks Musashi saying that he's the only one who capable of matching him and a sword is used only to kill and becomes obsessed with showing his rival a truly beautiful death. But Musashi says that a sword can do more than just kill and he'll prove it to Kojiro. Kojiro than joins the Tokugawa clan and fights in the battle of Kusegawa. After the battle of Kusegawa Kojiro fights at Sekigahara where he duels Musashi Miyamoto and slays Mitsunari Ishida. Along with Ieyasu Tokugawa and some other Tokugawa retainers they go to Nijo castle for peace arrangment with Hideyori but the Tokugawa hired Kojiro to frame Hideyori for scheming to take Ieyasu's life in Kyoto, unexpectedly, an assassination was actually planned and Kojiro is ordered to kill Hideyori instead. Yukimura Sanada and Musashi Miyamoto appeare to help Hideyori escape. More interested in dueling his rival Kojiro fucuses on dueling Musashi and beats him. Kojiro gives Musashi one more year to hone his craft. Kojiro later duels Musashi at Ganryujima and miraculously survives his defeat. Kojiro then joins the ranks to destroy Osaka Castle. Their he duels Musashi one last time and kills him. In his ending, Kojiro is thrilled to finally achieve his goal but is simultaneously stricken at losing his greatest rival. In his dream mode, Kojiro and Musashi work together to defeat many of the land's greatest swordsmen at Komaki-Nagakute. They additionally compete with one another to see who can score the most fame.

Kojirō Sasaki was a prominent Japanese swordsman, born in Fukui Prefecture. He lived during the Sengoku and early Edo period and is most remembered for his death while battling Musashi Miyamoto in 1612.
